This mango mocktail is the perfect drink on a hot summer day. Glowing with golden fresh mango juice, this pretty mocktail is full of tropical sweetness.

The deep floral taste of mango is brightly balanced by lime and mint. You’ve got to try it.

3 glasses of mango mocktail topped with fresh mint and a straw. next to it some lime wedges.

I love this little twist on a classic mojito (virgin mojito, that is!). This mango mojito mocktail is the perfect partner to my Watermelon Mojito Mocktail, so don’t forget to try that one, too.

All you need is a decent blender and a few simple ingredients, and you’ll have a non-alcoholic drink that’s bursting with fresh fruity goodness.

If mango is in season, why not try this No Bake Mango Cheesecake or my slushy Frozen Mango Smoothie.

    • Non-alcoholic: The whole family can enjoy this recipe in the summer heat.
    • Easy to make: With just a blender, ice, and some fresh mango puree or juice, you can whip up a delicious and refreshing drink in no time.

    Ingredients & substitution notes

all ingredients needed to make a mango mocktail.
    • Mangoes: You’ll need ripe, fresh mangoes that have been peeled and cubed. You can also use frozen mangoes, mango pulp, or juice if fresh mangoes are unavailable.
    • Maple syrup: To sweeten the mocktail. Feel free to use agave syrup or regular sugar instead.
    • Fresh lime juice: The acidity from fresh limes balances the sweetness of the mango and maple syrup.
    • Mint leaves: Mint leaves add a herbal flavor to the mocktail.
    • Brown sugar: It adds a caramel-like flavor and a hint of molasses. The added sugars are a luxury but taste incredible.
    • Sparkling water: Adds an effervescence to the mocktail, making it more refreshing and enjoyable. You can also use soda water or club soda if you prefer a stronger carbonation. Italian soda is really high quality.

    See recipe card for quantities.

How to make a mango mocktail

fresh mango chunks in a blender.

STEP 1: Place the mango, maple syrup, water and lime juice into a high-speed blender.

pureed mango juice in a blender.

STEP 2: Blend until smooth. To a serving glass, add the mint leaves, optional sugar, and lime juice. Muddle these ingredients with a spoon or muddler. Add ¼ cup of the mango puree and ice to the glass. Stir the mixture. Top up with club soda. Stir to combine

    Top tips

    • Use ripe mangoes: Fresh, ripe produce is best – you want a rich mango nectar in your mojito.
    • Use fresh ingredients: For the best flavor, use fresh ingredients such as freshly squeezed lime juice and fresh mint leaves.
    • Muddle gently: When adding mint leaves to the mocktail, gently muddle them to release their essential oils. Be careful not to over-muddle and turn the leaves bitter.
    • Adjust sweetness and acidity: Taste the mocktail as you make it, and adjust the sweetness and acidity to your liking. You can add more maple syrup or lime juice to balance the flavors.
    • Chill your individual glasses: To keep the mocktail cold and refreshing.
    • Be creative with garnishes: Add some extra flair to your mocktail by adding creative garnishes such as a slice of fresh mango, a mint sprig, a wedge of lime, or lemon slices.
    • Serve it with style: Serve your mango cocktail recipe in a large cut-glass pitcher full, surrounded with beautiful glassware.
3 glasses of mango mocktail topped with fresh mint and a straw.

    Variations

    • Sweetness: Adjust the sweetness of the mocktail by adding more or less maple syrup or brown sugar.
    • Turn it into a cocktail: For a boozy version, add a shot of white rum to the mango mocktail.
    • More flavors: You can add additional flavors to the mocktail by incorporating other fresh fruit like pineapple or passionfruit. You can also experiment with different herbs such as basil or cilantro. Some fresh ginger will give the recipe some zing!
    • Other flavored sodas: Instead of club soda, you can use flavored sodas such as ginger beer or tonic water to add an extra layer of flavor to the mocktail.
    • Switch the water for coconut water

    Storage

Fresh mango juice: If you have leftover fresh mango juice, you can store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Do not dilute with soda: It is not recommended to dilute the fresh mango juice with soda or sparkling water until you are ready to serve your virgin mango mojito. The carbonation in the soda can cause the mixture to become flat and lose its refreshing taste.
