No Banana Frozen Mango Smoothie

This frozen mango smoothie makes a great healthy drink that tastes amazing on hot summer days but can be enjoyed all year round. It's vegan, dairy-free and naturally gluten-free.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen mango chunks ~1 mango
  • ½ cup mango yogurt *unsweetened or lightly sweetened
  • ¾ cup oat milk or other milk of choice *dairy or non-dairy (almond, soy...)

Instructions

Freeze Mango

  • If you don't use store-bought frozen mango chunks but prefer to freeze them yourself then start by cutting the mango in half.
  • Then the mango creating in a criss-cross pattern. Make sure to not cut through the skin. 
  • Scoop out the mango flesh using a spoon and transfer it to a ziplock bag or freezer-friendly container. Freeze overnight.

Smoothie

  • Add all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. 
  • Taste and adjust sweetness and texture. Gradually add more milk for a thinenr smoothie.

  • Ripe Mango: The sweetness of this recipe will depend on how ripe your mango is. Make sure to use a very ripe mango for best results.
  • Sweetness: There's no added sugar included in this mango smoothie but feel free to add 1 tablespoon of maple syrup or honey if you prefer a sweetener smoothie.
  • Serving Size: Makes 2 small or 1 large smoothie.
