Mashed Potatoes


without butter


Peel potatoes and rinse with cold water.

Step 1

Cut the potatoes in 4.

Step 2

Then add them to a large pot filled with cold water.

Step 3

Bring to a boil and let simmer with a lid for about 15 minutes.

Step 4

Drain and reserve the cooking water.

Step 5

Use a potato ricer or a potato masher to mash the potatoes. Don't mash too vigorously!

Step 6

Add the olive oil and some of the reserved cooking water until you achieve the desired consistency. .

Step 7

Taste and adjust salt.
